Naked

Naked, I stood tall
Not of body, but of soul
Well, to be honest, I was actually naked
Mirror mirror and all that sexy jazz
I bore my soul, not to God, but myself
Not everything was pretty, though
I saw a love to loathe
Prideful humility
Compassionate callousness
Sympathetic joy of envy
Equanimity for anxiety and worry

It's hard to tear away the facades you've spent a lifetime building
Especially to one's own self
I am not perfect
But I am beautiful in my imperfections
I hold onto false hopes
Yet I promise to be true to myself

I've already started to rebuild what was just torn down
But I am lighter for the process
It's a tough world out there;
Man needs his armor

    You're right, of course. At the end of the day, we all strip down to our unders (more or less) and bludgeon ourselves into believing whatever IT is to be TRUE.

    Blessings to you and, perhaps, a shit ass'd grin to be shared--

    Thanks to you, I've started to break down the walls I've built around myself and finaly begun to see who I really am.

  5. "It's hard to tear away the facades you've spent a lifetime building"

    This is so true. We must tear down all the masks that blind us and cause most of our falls. It's a slow process but a rewarding one, let me assure you!

    It's ok to hide parts of ourselves from other people. It's a natural survival instinct, but we most be 100% transparent to ourselves. We must face all that make our idendity even if we don't like what we see, because it's only by looking at it with courage and sincerity that we can possibly make the changes we want to make.

    Hugs

    Our body may keep us firmly rooted to the ground, but the stories we tell ourselves are what pins us where we stand. Unlike a tree, we must run free and explore in order to grow.

    @Becca:
    Uhm...since I'm sharing, I might as well confess. I totally chubbed up when I was checking out my dick in the mirror...soooo HOT!

    @Jon:
    Funny thing is, we all KNOW we're lying to ourselves, yet we buy it hook, line and sinker every damn time!!! Fool myself once, shame on me, fool myself again and fuck me in the ass and leave me throbbing!

    Wishing you the best, my friend!!

    Happy Haloed Wienies to ALL and to All a good TRICK--
